Weatherproof trekking tent with two vestibules
The Venus III Extreme 3-person tent from Exped offers plenty of space for two people, but even with three people it is extremely comfortable to sleep in, with a 230 x 160 cm sleeping surface. With one entrance and a 100 cm wide vestibule on each long side, the tent is versatile enough for trekking and cycling trips, as there is always plenty of space for shoes, backpacks and luggage.
4-season tent with tough aluminium poles
Exped has designed the Venus III Extreme with 40D ripstop nylon and protects the lightweight fabric from rain and moisture with a silicone coating on both sides. The tent floor, on the other hand, is made of particularly hard-wearing 70D taffeta nylon and withstands a hydrostatic head of 10000 mm. This means the tent can be used all year round for trekking, camping and bikepacking. In addition, the inner tent is made from 30D ripstop nylon and 20D no-see-um mosquito netting. Thanks to this, the tent provides mosquito protection as well as pleasant ventilation.
The wind-stable tent construction is equipped with pre-fitted Dyneema guy ropes and is supported by a sturdy aluminium pole. Exped relies on proven DAC Featherlite NSL TH72M poles with a thickness of 9.6 mm and 10.25 mm. Despite its stability and spacious dimensions, the Venus III Extreme weighs just 3.6 kg. For transportation, you can pack the tent into a stuff sack with a size of 46 x 15 cm, making it easy to carry. As an optional accessory, Exped offers a footprint to reinforce the floor of the tent.
