Lightweight trekking tent with aluminium poles
For camping and trekking, the Lyra III 3-person tent from Exped surprises with its easy pitching and versatile use. This tent features a 215 x 160 cm sleeping surface which comfortably accommodates two or three tired hikers. Sitting in the tent is also extremely comfortable, with a height of 115 cm. The Exped trekking tent is supported by a tough aluminium frame from DAC and is ready for use in no time with its practical clip system.
Dome tent with entrance areas on both sides
The Lyra III can also be pitched as a free-standing mosquito tent without the outer tent. For this purpose, Exped uses 15D no-see-um mosquito netting and supplements the construction with 68D polyester taffeta for wind protection and privacy edging. Depending on your requirements, the outer tent can be attached to the inner tent rolled up completely or just on one side. In doing so, you can either experience complete weather protection or a mixture of wind protection and optimal ventilation. This makes the tent particularly versatile and equally comfortable for warm and cool temperatures.
Thanks to the use of a PU coating and DWR treatment, Exped makes the tent waterproof and ready for rainy days. The 68D polyester taffeta groundsheet, with a hydrostatic head of 5000 mm, also provides excellent protection in wet conditions. In addition, the two side vestibules, each of which extends 60 cm above the large entrances, provide practical shelter for equipment, shoes and backpacks. For camping and trekking, the double-entrance design proves to be particularly handy and offers each person in the tent optimum freedom of movement. The Lyra III tent weighs only 2.3 kg in its entirety and can be packed down to a 50 x 19 cm format for transport.
